Grape variety: Johanniter
International (planted after 1900) | 29 HA en Suisse (0,02%)

A variety of disease resistant grape (PIWI) made from the crossing of Pinot Gris, Chasselas, Riesling and Seyve-Villard. The Johanniter was established in 1968 at the Freiberg Research Center in Baden-Württemberg (DE). It bears the name of its creator Johannes Zimmermann. In Switzerland, it produces light aromatic wines with aromas of citrus, exotic fruits and a spicy finish.

Grape variety: Solaris
International (planted after 1900) | 26HA in Switzerland (0,18%)

Hybrid Merzling × Geisenheim 6493 obtained in 1975 in Freiburg in Baden-Württemberg (D) and authorized in 2004, Solaris was named after the sun, symbolizing its vigor and precocity. In Switzerland, this grape variety, which is very resistant to fungal diseases, is planted in particular by producers who care about the environment, because it does not require much treatment.
