Info about the grape variety

Grape variety: Riesling x Sylvaner
International (planted after 1900) | 26 HA in Switzerland (0.18%)

Long wrongly considered to be an artificial Riesling × Sylvaner cross obtained by the Swiss H. Müller in 1882 in Germany, the DNA test denied this relationship by showing in 2000 that it was in fact a Riesling × Madeleine Royale. Despite everything, the name Riesling × Sylvaner (or Riesling-Sylvaner) has been wrongly kept in Switzerland.
